New Hampton NH,
1986
Notes:
I purchased the boat in 2018 and know of at least 2 prior owners, though I'm sure there have been more. She was in decent shape, though she was showing her age.
The major work that's been done thus far:
2019:
- Rudder completely rebuilt and glassed
- Hull/Keel/CB stripped below the waterline, patched, faired and painted with hard anti-fowling paint. I learned that a prior owner bolted a 2" thick lead shoe to the underside of the keel so she has an extra 200lbs ballast.
- Installed BG Vulcan 9 chartplotter, V50 Radio (DSC & recieves AIS), ZG100 heading sensor, DST800 and WS320 wireless wind sensor. ST1000 auto pilot w/actisense converter. All devices connected on a NMEA 2000 network.
- Built a electrical box (Cherry) & installed a Blue Sea Panel & accessory panel plus rewired the boat
- Made a magazine rack plus a few small racks to store nick knacks (sun screen, phone, dish soap, etc)
2020
- Top side of hull stripped, about 70 old repairs that were cracking were ground out, faired and painted w/2 part epoxy paint. Originally she was green, then gelcoated white, then painted green. She's once again green with a gold cove stripe.
- Cleaned and polished all bronze fittings
- Replaced traveler
- Replace motor (2020 6 hp Tohatsu)
- Replaced gaskets in windows & foward hatch, rebedded
- Sanded all exterior wood and refinished w/Cetol
- Fabricated new bowsprit, tiller and engine cover (Iroko)
- Replaced bob stay and headstay fittings
The list goes on...but for now it's time to sail!
