“The boat is an excellent cruising sailer. She now has a Volvo 3 cyl. diesel, and a Selden mast.

The boat is extremely well built and an excellent cruising sailer . She now has a Volvo 3 cyl. diesel.

We are looking at buying a Lynaes 29. I was wondering if you can tell me more aboat what to look for concerning possible defects?

Our boat is built in Denmark, built nr. 35. Interior is in solid teak and former owner fitted the boat with the equipment of highest quality. Probably it has too much electric equipment and too many wires. We changed the old volvo engine MD11C with the new volvo D130. Furthermore the refrigerator was too small so we bought the new Waeco 50l because the bigger one couldn't fit the compartment. The wind generator was not appropriate for Adriatic climate so we substituted it with solar panel(120W). The boat is equipped with fixed windows and in the galley is too hot in Adriatic summer. We also have two sources for heating-Reflex diesel stove and Webasto. The only weakness could be the rudder but it was renewed in 2016 in Hamburg by Peter Wrede shipyard. You have to watch out on about 7 thru hull fittings and valves. The only downside of the boat is fresh water tank witch could be bigger but there are many possibilities to size it up or to store more water.

Hello, we have got a Lynaes 29 as well. The boat is solid as a rock. You have to look for interior as I newer saw two boats that were the same inside. Obviously the first 20 of the 50 boats that exist were built in Denmark and afterwards the plugs went to Sweden. The quality and also the design of the interior differs a lot. Feel free to ask more detailed questions.
