Eivind Amble

Born on September 18, 1937, in Norway, Amble studied naval architecture and marine engineering at the Technical University of Trondheim. Starting in the late 1960s, Amble served as the principal designer at Fjord Boats, one of the leading Norwegian boatbuilding firms. Amble mainly designs motoryachts and motorsailers, but he has designed some sailboats, including the competitive racers Liz of HanköWitchie, and Fram VIII. Likewise, Amble penned a few double-ender designs, including the Norselander 53 and Eivind Amble 18m.
